Becky Knowles

Rebecca Ann (Becky) Knowles of Green Cove Springs, Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Born to W.Y. and Millie Daniel in Thomaston, Georgia on May 29, 1942. She graduated from Grady High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She moved to St. Augustine, Florida in 1960 with her family. She went to work at Fairchild Hillard with her father where she met the love of her life, Jake Knowles. They married on November 17, 1962. 

She worked as a CFO at Clay County Council on Aging and retired after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of various affiliations such as Eagles, VFW and The Elks. She loved to shop and travel with her daughter Angela (London, Paris, New York & many other places) and Travel Buddy LeeRoy (cross country gambling), they went various fun destinations. Spending time with her family was her most precious joy, they were the light of her life!

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Young Daniel and Millie Robinson Daniel. Her brother, Sammy Daniel and husband, Jake Knowles. She is survived by her brother, Scott (Margie) Daniel, sister, Kelly (Colin) Mitchell. Her beloved children, Alan (Janice) Knowles, Debbie Knowles, Angela (Michael) Keaton and James (Megan) Knowles. Her immediate grandchildren, Adam, Christian, Mac, Sara, Ethan and Dylan and several other wonderful step-grandchildren, she had a wealth of great-grandchildren to fill her heart!

Becky touched many lives and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM, officiated by Ron Baker at the Broadus-Raines Chapel located at 501 Spring Street in Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043.
