Betty Gibson, 69, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away April 23, 2021. She was born to Clarence and Bertie Rigdon on October 24, 1951 in Alma, GA. Betty graduated from Clay High School, Jones College Jacksonville, and St. Johns River State College. She worked at Rosewood Holmes, Fleming Island Affiliated with Russell Baptist Church, Daughters of the Nile.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and learning. Preceded in death by mother and father.

Betty is survived by 4 siblings, Larry Rigdon, Donelle Wilson, Terry Rigdon and Gloria Ackley; 4 Children, Tammy (Richard) Martin, Beth (Joe) Russo, Michael (Sherry) Gibson and Rhonda Minorics; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 10am, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Russell Baptist Church with Pastor Patrick Martin officiating. Visitation will be held hour prior. Graveside service will be held 3:00pm at Rose Hill Cemetery in Alma, GA with Pastor Michael Gibson officiating.
