Betty Jean Mears

Betty Locke Mears, 81 years old, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on March 20, 2020. She was born on August 16, 1938 in Chipley, FL to Ernest and Susie (Kent) Locke. Gardening is what she loved and baking pound cakes. She retired from Clay County School Board and was preceded in death by: Earnest Locke (Father), Susie Locke (Mother), Earl Locke (Brother), Uearl Locke (Brother) Charles Locke (Brother), Myrtle Kirkland (Sister), Lloyd Mears (Husband).

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Suddeth (Bruce); son, Allen Hartzog (Sheryl); brother, Euliss Locke (Luwana); sister, Marie Brunner; grandchildren, Carrie Edenfield, John Clevinger, Brandon Hartzog, Travis Hartzog and Katie Whitehead; great-grandchildren, Cassidy (Josh) Stephens, Brett Edenfield, JT Clevinger, Anna Brown and Heston Hartzog.
