Betty Paulsen

October 15, 1934 – January 31, 2025

Betty passed away on January 31, 2025, in the Moosehaven Skilled Care Unit at the age of 90.

She was born to Esther Sohmer on October 15, 1934 in Cook County, Illinois.

Betty married John Swick. They had a son, John, and two daughters, Pamela and Charlene. Charlene preceded her in death in 2023. She married Roger Paulsen on March 23, 1966. Betty and Roger had a son, Kenneth Paulsen. Betty also gained a stepson, Roger. 

Betty became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on May 1, 1986 when she joined Lake Panasoffkee, Florida Chapter #1590. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on April 27, 2003. She sponsored 10 members in her lifetime. 

Betty is survived by Kenneth Paulsen of Sugar Grove, IL, Pamela Rutter of Melrose Park, IL and John Henry Swick III of Hoffman Estates, IL. She is also survived by several loving grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
