Boyd Earl Maroney

Boyd Earl Maroney, 83, formerly of Jackson, TN passed away on April 20, 2018 after a brief illness.  He lived with his daughter in Fleming Island, FL for the past several years after the passing of his wife in 1999, and is preceded in death by his parents, Print and Rubie Maroney, as well as his wife Shirley (Sapp), one son Clayton Maroney, four brothers: Troy, Ellis, Benny and Harold Maroney, and one sister Oshanniar Hamilton.

Boyd is survived by a sister, Sue Norment of Miami, FL; and brothers Henry (Linda) Maroney of Memphis and Gerald Maroney of Medina. He is also survived by one son, David Maroney of Jacksonville, FL and one daughter, Teresa Dixon (Gary) of Fleming Island, FL. and leaves behind four granddaughters: Christina Snyder (Mark), Angelia Mikel (Gene), Amanda Polk (Chris) and Valerie Yackel (Rob), 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren who all enjoyed sharing both his special occasions and his candy jar.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel in Green Cove Springs, FL and visitation and burial at Clover Creek Baptist Church in Medon, TN on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Arrangements are under the direction of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home in Green Cove Springs, FL in conjunction with George A Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Jackson, TN.
