Brenda Hensley, 65, a longtime resident of Middleburg, FL passed away on January 15, 2021, at her home. Brenda was born on June 20, 1955 to Edison Keat and Lois Genevieve Foley in Wytheville, NC. Brenda moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1970 with her husband William Conklin and their family. In 1998, Brenda met and married her loving husband of 24 years, Glenn Hensley.
Brenda was preceded in death by both of her parents and brother Bobby Foley and his wife Judy; daughter Kimberly D. Schade and grandson S.Sgt William L. Holdaway.
Brenda was survived by her husband Glenn, brother Eddie Foley (wife Cindy), sister Sheila Potter (husband Jimmy), sister Tammy Thompson (husband Ray), son Robert Conklin (wife Tammy), daughter Becky Churchill (husband Scott), and son Joshua Conklin (wife Autumn). Brenda was also survived by her grandchildren; Crystal, Ashley, Marjorie, Katarina, Amanda, Samantha, Kyle, Brent, Cale, Aurianna, Ryan, Mia and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Brenda was referred to as ‘Sassy’ by her friends and her personality lived up to the name. Her fiery demeanor would always shine through when challenged or when she just felt like giving the world a run for its money. She will be dearly missed by her large family and many friends.
The family will receive friends at 10:00am, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Middleburg. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Middelburg with Pastor Ralph Estevez officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30pm, January 26, 2021 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
