Candice Ann "Candy" Jeffers, 66, was born on January 3, 1954 in her hometown of Dinsmore, Jacksonville, Florida.
She passed away on July 10, 2020 at home in Drs. Inlet, Florida. Candy was born to parents, Ivan and Mary Lee Jackson (deceased) in Jacksonville, Florida. She was married to: George Everette Jeffers (deceased) of 47 years. and worked happily for the Clay County School Board as a Cafeteria Assistant for 35 years. She attended Calvary Assembly of God where she worshipped for 20 + years. Her hobbies include: Shopping/Going out to eat, Cooking with/for friends and family, Spending time with her grandkids, Traveling with friends and family, Always helping anyone in need, and Worshipping her Lord and Savior.
She will always be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was survived by her two children: Brian K. Jeffers and Wendy M. Griffis (Jeffers) (4 Step kids); 2 grandchildren: Mary L. Jeffers and Lindsey P. Griffis (9 Step Grandkids); 4 Great-Grandchildren: Matthew R. Mee, Hunter W. Mee, Aubree L. Cox, and Ellie A. Cox (11 Step Great Grandkids); 1 Niece: Angel Jackson.
She is preceded in death by parents, Ivan Harris and Mary Lee Jackson; brother, Richard Harris Jackson; husband, George Everette Jeffers; sons-in-law, Troy Eugene Holton and Wayne Leslie Griffis Jr.; and stepson, Peewee Hodges Jeffers.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Calvary Assembly of God, 9 Knight Boxx Road, Orange Park, FL 32065 with Pastor Byron L. Griffis and Gregory A. Evans officiating.
