Carol Crissey Hill London, 87, of Fleming Island, passed away peacefully in her sleep May 20th at The Legacy in Switzerland, Florida, with family and Hospice by her side.
She was born to Benjamin D. Crissey and Margaret Crissey Beroth, November 20, 1933 in Geneva, Illinois. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, James L. Hill, Jr.; daughter, Cydney Hill; and sister, Katherine Butler.
Carol is survived by her husband, Gordon B. (Ben) London, her two daughters, Cathy Hicks (David) of Jacksonville; Janet Ahr (Dave) of St. Augustine; grandson James Packer (Holly) of Colorado Springs; granddaughter Samantha Pavlisko, (Anthony) of Denver and great grandchildren Logan, Madison, Peyton, Caroline, Nicholas and Ryan.
Carol was a devout Episcopalian, Altar Guild member, Eucharistic Visitor and member of Daughters of the King with a deep-seated faith in God. Known for her strength and perseverance, she had a true servant’s heart. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother; an adventurous traveler, avid reader, excellent cook, and enjoyed outings to local restaurants.
A private memorial service will be held for immediate family at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
