Carole "Sue" Swaney

Carole “Sue” Swaney, an accomplished florist and lifelong resident of Jacksonville Florida Passed peacefully into our Lords arms on February 14^th, 2022 at the age of 73 years while in the company of her family.  Sue was a devoted mother and a very proud Grandmother. As a woman of strong Christian faith, Sue was educated in Catholic school and was a member of Orange Park Christian Church of which she had a profound love & respect for the members and Clergy.

Sue was born August 28, 1948, in Hannibal, Mo.  When she was very young, Her Father’s Naval career brought them to Jacksonville where she was raised and lived the remainder of her life.  Sue had a diverse career including time with the IRS in data entry, she was a Licensed Beautician, A retail store Manager, and ultimately a Floral shop owner with one of her crowning professional achievements being selected to provide floral arrangements here in Jacksonville for NFL Superbowl XXXIX in 2005.

Loving her Grandchildren, Crocheting and Church were her hobbies, and she will be remembered for her infectious laugh, warm approving smile, her quick-witted humor and her warm accepting hugs.

Sue is survived by her three children - Jennifer Beardslee, Joshua Sprowles & Robert Chamberlain. Their spouses (respectively) – Jason Beardslee, Amy Sprowles & Mary Chamberlain.  Her eight grandchildren (respectively) Amber Polatty, Abby Polatty, Alexandra Anastasia, Jace Beardslee - Kyle Sprowles, Dean Sprowles - Kinsey Carter, Robert Chamberlain Jr. 

Services for Sue will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Orange Park Christian Church, 2876 Moody Ave Orange Park, FL 32073. Fellowship to immediately follow.
