Carrie Gray Hill, age 46, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away March 4, 2024 after a long battle with cancer.
Carrie attended Mandarin High School. She was an avid reader, loved playing games, and watching football (especially the Georgia Bulldogs). Carrie loved music, dancing, and the beach. She had a way with babies and toddlers. She always made them feel loved and special and she was always willing to step up and help when needed. She was an active member of VFW Post 1988 in Green Cove Springs. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend.
Carrie was preceded in death by her son, James Ray Sadler. She is survived by her son, Mitchell Mote, her mother and stepfather, Debbie and George Leibig, her father, Ray Allen Gray Jr., and her sisters Ryan Hartley (Justin), Cortney Gray, Lauren Gray, and Lindsey Bazua (Adrian). She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at Sharon Baptist Church, 5884 Sharron Road, Green Cove Springs, on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow at VFW Post 1988, 421 S. Orange Ave., Green Cove Springs, FL, 32043.
