Catherine S. Mills (Cathy), age 64, married to Eugene E. Mills (Gene), passed away peacefully at her home in Fleming Island, FL on April 22nd, 2020.
Cathy was born in Washington, D.C to Stuart Tees Sadler and Aura May Curtis Sadler on July 7th, 1955. After graduating from Mt. Dora High School in 1972, she began her career path in the automotive industry. Most recently, she worked at Air Pro Diagnostics as the Executive Director of Client Relations. She was a knowledgeable professional with over 30 years’ experience in the collision repair industry including almost two decades working for a national MSO as a General Manager and then moving on to be Florida’s corporate regional trainer. Cathy was a very active member of the industry, having served as the Executive Director for the Florida Auto Body Collision Alliance (FACA), a role she held for 4 years. In 2012, Akzo Nobel named her one of three Most Influential Women in the collision repair industry. Cathy was an amazing woman with a strong passion, vision, and a vested interest in the collision repair industry’s future.
Cathy, along with her husband, frequented Grace Episcopal Church in Orange Park, FL. She was also a former board member and foster for Lab Rescue of Northeast Florida. She loved her fur babies, cooking and baking, the beach and spending time with her family and grandkids. She was known for her love of cardinals and will be remembered as a fun, loving, welcoming person and the best Me-Maw in the world. To her children’s friends, she was “Mom” and to their children she was “Gammy”. She opened her home and heart to anyone in need; everyone was loved as family.
Cathy is preceded in death by her mother, Aura May Curtis Sadler and father, Stuart Tees Sadler; as well as her brother, Stuart Sadler, Jr.
Cathy is survived by her beloved husband, Gene Mills; daughter, Kathleen “Ann” (Jason) Hall of St. Augustine, FL; daughter, Aura May (Jeremy) Lewis of Cherry Hill, NJ; granddaughter, Katherine (Katelyn) Hall and three grandsons, Stuart A. Hall, Liam E. Lewis and Colin P. Lewis. In addition, her half-brother, Gary Bentley (Misty) of Indiana and half-brother, Mike Bentley of Indiana.

The memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Andy Pietrylo.
