Charlene Butler Stallings, Jacksonville, FL passed away on May 8, 2022. She was born on April 9, 1963 in Key West, FL. Charlene graduated from Ed White High School, worked at many hospitals in Jacksonville and spent a short time in the United States Navy. She was married to Tommy Stallings for over 20 years and lived in Fayetteville, NC for 5 yrs.
Charlene worked as a CNA for many years and got her EMT certificate in NC. She was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church in Middleburg, FL. Her hobbies included gardening and she loved to plant flowers and fruit trees. Many trees she grew from seeds. She loved fishing with her husband at Lake Lochloosa and going to all the springs in Florida. She loved all animals especially her Rotties. Charlene enjoyed going on the road to the mountains in NC and taking pictures of beautiful things like flowers and the scenery.
She will be remembered for being so kind, loving and caring and her fascination of the Native American culture and way of living. For her beautiful smile and always wanting to help other people in times of sickness. Charlene enjoyed making other people smile and laugh. She had the most beautiful soul and always loved to give rather than to receive. She never met a stranger.
Charlene is preceded in death by her father, Charles E Butler, her grandparents; Oder and Beddie Canterberry; her aunt, Bobbie Wilson and her cousin Jade McElroy.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Stallings; mother, Clara Butler Novick (Loran); sisters and step-brother, Susan Butler Braddock (Kellar), Cindy Schumacher (Carl) and James Novick (Janet); brother-in-law Keith Stallings (Linda), David Stallings; nieces and nephews, Brandon Schumacher, Carl Jr. Schumacher, Amber Schumacher, Kaitlyn Braddock; nephews David Stallings Jr. and Keith Stallings Jr.; along with other great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:30am to 12:00pm on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Black Pond Baptist Church and funeral services will start at 12:00pm with Reverend Jason Brown officiating.
