Charles Douglas Brown

December 6, 1932 — February 25, 2024

Charles Douglas Brown passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the age of 91. Charlie Brown, as he was known, was born on December 6, 1932 in Kingsland, GA to Crawford A. Brown and Laura Douglas Brown. He and his wife Peggy “Peg” Brown celebrated their 71st anniversary December 26, 2023. They were high school sweethearts, true partners in life and were seldom seen without the other. Their love radiated from them which was clear to their many friends and family. Charlie along with Peg loved the Lord first and foremost and loved their church family. They were dedicated servants and worked tirelessly supporting church events. Charlie served 4 years in the Navy prior to a 32-year career with AT&T in management. He enjoyed playing golf with his buddies and reading. Charlie was Dad to Charlene Brown, Grandad to Skip and Luke Wintter and father-in-law to Frank Harrison. He also had five great-grandchildren. His family was small but loved well. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his older brother Joe A. Brown and his wife Joann Brown. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm at The Springs Church, 900 Park Avenue, Orange Park, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Springs Church in Charlie’s honor. Thank you for your continued prayers for the family.
