Charles Ray Coughenour, Jr.

Charles Ray Coughenour Jr, 68, of Middleburg, FL passed away Saturday July 31, 2021. He was born to Charles Ray Coughenour Sr. and Mary Lou Coughenour on October 26, 1952 in Washington, PA. 

He retired from Civil Service after 30 years.

Charles was a long-time resident of Clay County who loved traveling in his RV and attending Bluegrass and other festivals. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. 

Charles was proceeded in death by his parents, Charles Coughenour and Mary Coughenour McCall, brothers Christopher and Jack and sister Diana Brewer. 

Charles is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon, daughters Melissa Davidson (Donald) and Kristy Knight (Adam) and son Justin Kirkland. Grandchildren Kaitlyn Freitag (Derek), Joshua and Cody Bramlitt, Jake and Kyleigh Knight. Brothers John (Connie) and Scott (Rhonda), sisters Diane Glover (Ricky), Debbie Crisp (Bruce) and Shannon Braden (Keith). Sister-in-Law Susie Coughenour.  And numerous nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 7, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time.
