Charles W. Davidson

Charles passed away June 8, 2021 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 89. He was born to Jess and Lillian Davidson on September 1, 1931 in Waukegan, IL. Charles served in the Army from 1948 to 1952.

He married Hildean Kelly on August 1, 1953. They had five sons, Chuck, Scott, Jeff, Craig, and Brad. Charles worked as an assembler for Johnson Outboard Motor and retired in 1982.

He became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on November 16, 1968 when he joined Zion, IL. Lodge #667, and was a bartender for the Santa Monica, CA. Moose Lodge for 10 years. Charles joined our Moosehaven family on July 19, 2018 where he resided for over 3 years. 

He will be laid to rest in his hometown of Waukegan, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Hildean Davidson, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Charles is survived by his sons, Chuck and Michelle of Clearwater FL., Scott and wife Pam of St. Augustine FL., Jeff of Santa Monica, CA., Craig and Deborah DeGrand of St. Augustine FL., Brad and Julie Davidson of San Diego CA. 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Zion-Benton Moose Lodge #667, 41517 N Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Dinner to follow.
