Charles Albert (“Charlie”) Toth of Green Cove Springs died after a brief illness on July 6, 2020. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 6, 1942, the first of three sons to Albert & Julia Toth. Beloved husband for fifty+ years of Ruthe Toth and loving father to Charles (Laura) Toth, Tammy (Michael) Gaus, and Michelle (David) Duricky. Charlie was the ‘best-est” Grampa to Caitlyn (Corey) Riley, Dylan (Katie) Toth, Danielle (Jonathan) Hood, Christopher (Ashley) Chesmar, Justin Duricky and Aaron Duricky. Charlie was also blessed with four precious Great Grandchildren: Dean, Rowan, Weston, Kallie. To all who knew him, they saw the light in his eyes when he spoke of his family and his grandchildren. Charlie retired in 2001 from LTV Steel in Cleveland and relocated to Green Cove Springs in search of all the sunshine he could shovel! Charlie loved his Thursday 8-ball outings with his posse as the annual neighborhood Chili Cook-off. Charlie loved Buddy Holley, CCR and sang out loud to Meatloaf (the Band, not the gravy-soaked beef!) He enjoyed fishing and was known to enjoy a bit of drag racing in his heyday. The family would like to thank all the wonderful friends and “River Road West” neighbors for their friendship, camaraderie, and kindness throughout the years. The family would also like to offer a special note of loving appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to Dave & Sheila Brock…. The world’s greatest neighbors!
