Christopher Deyo Green

June 24, 1971 — December 19, 2022

Christopher “Chris” Deyo Green, 51, of Live Oak, FL was born in Jacksonville, FL on June 24, 1971 and passed away on December 19, 2022.  He attended East Carolina University and graduated with his master’s degree In Health Care Administration from University of North Florida.  He was the Regional Vice President for a national health care company.

Chris was a Christian who loved his family, his GOD, and his country. He loved most of all, spending time with his family and dogs. Chris loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, and riding his bike. He loved football and was a loyal Jaguar’s and FSU fan. His life’s greatest joy was watching his children grow to adulthood and continue to blossom into young adults ready to make valuable contributions to their community.

Whether coaching football for his sons or watching the beauty of his daughter dance, his children were the center of his world. He also had a love of music from an early age and enjoyed attending concerts from rock to country.

Chris will be remembered for his passionate love of family. His big heart, infectious laugh, and genuine warmth permeated all that knew him. Those close to him will remember that his love of nature, and the outdoors was how he recharged, and it’s where he felt closest to God. The young athletes he coached and mentored, young men now, will remember he fostered discipline, commitment, and excellence with compassion and perspective. Professionally, he was a great leader and businessman, but was distinguished, by his love and compassion for each resident, and family member as his top priority.

His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. This world is a better place because he was here.

Chris is survived by his mother, Patricia “Patti” Garner; stepfather, Donald “Don” Garner; sons, Connor and Taylor; daughter, Savannah; brother, Jason and his wife Diane; and many other family members, including nieces, cousins, uncle and aunt, and his beloved dogs, Bruce and Buddy.

The family has shared his memory in private, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Clay PAL (Police Athletic League of Clay County)
