Colin Matthew Kiely

Colin Matthew Kiely, 47, passed away on January 17, 2019 in Orange Park, Florida. Colin was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 26, 1971 but spent most of his youth in Chicago.

Colin graduated from Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. Following graduation, Colin was recruited by the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida. In 1996, he won a position in the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra as an accomplished violist. In addition, he had a large studio of violin and viola students.

Colin was a member, teacher, and deacon at First Baptist Church of Orange Park. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling to beaches, Chicago, and Wyoming, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs.

Colin is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Amy Laurel, his two daughters, Emma and Caroline, and son, Benjamin; his mother and brother.

Please join us in celebrating his life at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Orange Park. Interment will follow at Peoria Cemetery in Doctor’s Inlet.
