Colleen E. Jolley

Colleen Ellen Jolley of Green Cove Springs, FL went to be with our Lord April 20, 2021. She was born May 2, 1940 to Herbert and Clarice Tomes in Woods Township, Minnesota.

She is survived by her son Steven Jolley of Green Cove Springs, FL; daughter Angela Dunlap (Paul) of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Dalton Dunlap (Rachel), Brooke Dunlap and Koen Dunlap; brother Patrick Tomes of GA; and sister Noreen Oldread (Chuck) of Summerville, SC.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Palmer F Jolley Jr; parents Herb and Clarice Tomes; brother Herbert Tomes Jr; and sister Ramona Merrill. 

She was a devout Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Green Cove Springs since moving to Green Cove as a young girl. She spent her life as a loving mother and grandmother first and worked as a surgical technician for 38 years. She was passionate about painting, sewing and working in her yard. She always cared about people less fortunate and would go out of her way to help others.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday April 26, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Mission Church. Interment will follow the funeral service at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
