Connie Kay Kenney, 71, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, in her Jacksonville, Florida home.
Connie was born to Luther and Hasty McGhaee on April 21, 1951 in Greensboro, South Carolina. She loved working and had many different careers, including court reporter, realtor, police officer, insurance agent, and saleswoman. Connie had an entrepreneurial spirit and also started and ran several of her own businesses.
Connie raised Mormon, attended various churches, and did believe Jesus died for her sins and that she would meet Him back in Heaven when she passed.
Connie loved going to the movies since she was a child. She enjoyed many other hobbies, including singing, reading, going to the bookstore with her husband, and going to the beach and out to dinner with family and friends.
Connie will be remembered for her kindness and sense of humor. She was "Miss Congeniality" and never met a stranger. She loved giving compliments, helping anyone she could, and always made those around her feel wanted and appreciated. Although she might show up late, family and friends always knew she would show up for them no matter what to lend a hand and show that she was proud of them.
