David Andrew Hartmann

David Andrew Hartmann, 67, of Middleburg, Florida passed away on October 22, 2024. David was born on August 24,1957 in Duluth, Minnesota to his parents Lee and Nancy Hartmann. He was raised in Minnesota, Iowa, and New Jersey alongside his twin sister, Debbie, and his younger sisters, Lori and Diane. He was an avid baseball player growing up and a star pitcher at Northern Highlands Regional High School. He continued his pitching career at Gettysburg College where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in 1979.

After college, David relocated with his family to Central Florida where he began his career in banking. He met his wife of 25 years, Lori, and they had two sons together, Jeffrey and Andrew. He raised his family in Clearwater, Florida, Greensboro, North Carolina, and Green Cove Springs, Florida. He was a devoted father and enjoyed coaching and supporting his sons in sports and life. He took his family on many vacation adventures during this time and created lasting memories at Anna Maria Island, Wrigley Field, Disney World, Cozumel, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Glacier National Park, among many others. His family will always remember Christmas in the snow at his sister Debbie’s home in New Jersey and herding buffalo from the back of a pickup truck at his sister Lori’s home in Idaho. Many vacations, birthdays, and holidays were spent with his parents in Bradenton, Florida and his sister Diane’s family in Kissimmee, Florida. His family will treasure these memories.

Later in life, David relocated to Kissimmee, Florida to be closer to his mother and sister, Diane. He enjoyed attending Kissimmee Christian Church and found comfort in his faith in his later years. During this time, David welcomed his grandchildren Robert and Catherine into the family. Recently, he relocated to Middleburg, Florida to live with his son Andrew’s family and enjoyed evening conversations with his daughter-in-law Tiffany and being “G-Pa” to Robert.

David will be remembered for his devotion to his family and love of sports. He could always be counted on by his children when they needed him. He supported them as they pursued schooling and study abroad, careers, and families of their own. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching Florida State football with his family. He also enjoyed watching the Little League World Series each year.

David was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Nancy Hartmann. He is survived by his sons Jeffrey and Laura Hartmann of Brandon, Florida and Andrew and Tiffany Hartmann of Middleburg, Florida, his sisters Debbie and John O’Donoghue of Middletown, NJ and Pinehurst, North Carolina, Lori and Brian Wall of Priest River, Idaho, and Diane and Tim Lytle of Kissimmee, Florida, and his grandchildren Robert and Catherine.
