David Dean Mack

David Dean Mack, born on February 8, 1966, in Englewood, CO, went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2024. A memorial service will be held in his honor at First Black Creek Baptist Church, 3904 State Road 16, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043, on Saturday, March 2nd, at 11 AM.


David graduated from Englewood High School in 1984 and went on to lead a life filled with love, laughter, and countless accomplishments. 


He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Edward Mack, Paternal Grandfather John Mack, Paternal Grandmother Florence Mack, Maternal Grandfather Russell Mann, and Maternal Grandmother Betty Mann.


He is survived by his beloved wife Lana Mack, his cherished children Ryan Mack (Rachael), John Christopher Lytle (Manuela), Shelby Mack, and Sidnee Mack, as well as his adored grandchildren Mackenna Mack, Elena Mack, Julie Monsees, Dennis Schenkel, and Celine Schenkel. David's memory will also be cherished by his mother Marilyn Mann, his siblings Ginger Mack, Micheal Mack (Misty), Amanda Mack, and Lawrence Mack Jr. (Jasmine), along with his nieces and nephews Savannah Mack, Shyanna Mack (Marcos), Braeden Mack, and Riley Mack.


David's life was marked by numerous accomplishments. He dedicated himself to serving at First Black Creek Baptist Church, where he provided security, was a Deacon Assistant, and shared his musical talents, along with his culinary skill as a winner of the annual chili cook-off. 


In addition to his church involvement, David excelled as a golf pro, youth baseball and golf coach, and Special Olympics coach. He was also an ABA bowling champion. Along with his golf team (Shelby, Steve, and Christian), he proudly won first place in the 2023 Cancer Specialists of North Florida Golf Tournament.


David was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, finding great joy in his faith, his church, and his family. In his leisure time, he enjoyed pursuing his passions for golf, fishing, hunting, karaoke, and collecting gnomes. He was an avid supporter of the Gators, Broncos, Rockies, and Avalanche. Above all, David will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his ability to bring smiles to the faces of those around him, and his unwavering love for his family and friends.


The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Steve Adams for his constant support and unwavering friendship throughout the years. 


Additionally, the family expresses deep gratitude to David’s team of oncologists, including Dr. Satis Shanbhag and Dr. Bhavana Chapman at the Cancer Specialists of North Florida, for their exceptional care and support during his illness.
