David R. Whipple, Sr.

David R. Whipple Sr., of Orange Park, FL passed away October 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 19, 1946 in Olean, New York to P. Richard and Irene Whipple.
David enjoyed boating, golfing and spending time with his family, friends and neighbors. He will be remembered for his kindness, his humor and his many friends who left footprints in his life. David’s Motor Yacht “AQUAHOLIC” was seen at the landing, Jaguars games, Bahamas and many other great boating places with the Sea Ray Club and friends.
David is preceded in death by his son Eric L. Whipple.
David was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend.
David is survived by his wife of 53 years Paula E. Whipple and sons David R. Whipple Jr. and Christopher P. Whipple, his granddaughter Hannah R. Whipple and grandson Aidan B. Whipple. Sisters Judy (Mike)Sherwin, Gail (Larry)Slocum, and Peggy Seward. Brothers Todd (Margaret) Whipple and Paul (Debbie) Whipple. Many cousins, nieces and nephews and our special nephew USMC Staff Sergeant Chase Stevens who he adored and admired.

David will be laid to rest with full military honors at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218 on November 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm Lane 2.
