Deborah Dingler Rice

Deborah Dingler Rice, 72, of Locust Grove, Georgia, passed away on March 30th 2024.

Deborah was born on July 8th 1951 in Griffin, Georgia to Carl and Lois Dingler. After Deborah graduated from Henry County High school in 1969, she went on to marry the love of her life, Steve.  

Deborah spent her adult years as a school bus driver and serving her local Locust Grove community. She enjoyed worshipping at Phillipi Baptist Church of Locust Grove, GA and Rock Springs Church in Milner, GA with her childhood best friend, Stephanie Ballard.  In her spare time Deborah loved reading, fishing, crossword puzzles and cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs. She will be remembered for her bright clothing, giving spirit, and the gift of GAB! 

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lois; her brother Mickey, and her husband, Steve. She is survived by their 3 children, Stephanie Howard (Randy) of Middleburg FL, Brandon Rice (Amber) Louisville KY, and Whitney Rice (Shane) Green Cove Springs, FL; six grandchildren, Shelby, Savannah, Michaela, Gavin, Josh and Rylan who were the light of her life; sister-in-law, Rosemary (Don) Stringfield; 3 nieces and 1 nephew.  

Celebrations of her life will be held at a later date at the beach followed by Whiteys Fish Camp in Florida and additional celebration in Locust Grove, Georgia.  

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation in Deborah’s honor, to their favorite cancer charities.  “V for Victory” (Florida) or “Henry County Cancer Services” (Georgia).

Deborah’s contagious spirit will live on through all that knew her.  GO DAWGS!!
