Dennis K Pond

Dennis K. Pond, 77, of Middleburg, FL, passed away on December 17, 2017.  He was born on October 5, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa to the late Lester and Laura (Collfet) Pond.  Dennis came to the area in 1969 from Iowa and was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church.  He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a sheet metal mechanic at the Jacksonville Shipyard.  Dennis loved his family, his country and the Lord.  He was preceded in death by his son, Randall Pond; 7 brothers and 7 sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Pond; son, Michael Greer; daughter, Rebecca Pond; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating.
