Dinah Simon peacefully died on 9th of February 2020. She was born on October 15, 1948 in Botolan, Zambales-Philippines.
Dinah spent most of her career doing administrative work for SRF in the US Naval Base in the Philippines. In 1991, when the US left the base in the Philippines, she dedicated her life taking of her three daughters, Danette, Dyn & Dana Faye while her husband, Danilo Simon, worked as an Overseas Filipino Worker in Dubai. Not only she dedicated her life taking care of her daughters but she’s always been there for her grandkids near or far. Even at her last moments while she was in pain, she still worries about her grand kids (Kean Sambrano, Kyrie Sambrano, Dylan Reforma, Grey Miclat, Dynise Miclat, Nyles Reforma, Alystayr Miclat & Kaden Sambrano).
She has been a blessing not only to her family but also to the people who knew her. She will not hesitate to extend her hands to everyone who needed her. She spent most of her life thinking about others that she has forgotten about herself.
She is very simple, never really asked for anything as she is very contented. Her selfless acts of kindness, her timid and sweet smile, her gentle and caring heart are just few of the million traits that people loved about her.
Our family and friends have been blessed by her presence and we thank her for everything that she has done for all of us. Now, she is with our Lord, with no more pains and suffering and received His promise of eternal life. Gone but will never be forgotten and will forever treasure in our hearts.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Friday, February 14, 2020 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. The funeral service be start at 2:00pm with Fr. Donal Sullivan as celebrant.
