Dolores A. Skelt passed away July 13, 2022, in the Health Care Center at Moosehaven in Orange Park, Florida at the age of 88. Services will be held at Moosehaven Chapel located at 1701 Park Avenue, Orange Park, Florida at 10:00am followed by a graveside service on Friday, July 29, 2022.

She was born to Lucien Bourque and Pauline Rader on October 31, 1933. She married Richard Skelt on August 21, 1954, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1999. Dolores and her husband Richard owned their own businesses in Steward, Illinois and Rochelle, Illinois called Steward Inn and AAA Income Tax, respectively. Dolores became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose of February 4, 1976, when she joined Rochelle, Illinois Lodge #438.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Melanie O’Brien, and her grandson, Zachary Skelt. Dolores is survived by her sons and daughters, Richard (Beulah) Skelt of Rochelle, Illinois; Michael Skelt of Highland, Illinois, Diane (Robert, Jr) Thorpe of Jacksonville, Florida, and Sharon (Larry) Cisneros of Oakdale, California. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica (Steve) Stevenson of Lebanon, Illinois, Jarrett O’Brien of Summerfield, Illinois, Samantha Huff of Rochelle, Illinois, Travis Navickas of Highland, Illinois, Shane Skelt (Alyssa) of Highland, Illinois, Brittney (Bryce) Green of Jacksonville, Florida, Robert Thorpe III of Jacksonville, Florida, Derrick (Amanda) Thorpe of Jacksonville, Florida and Phebe Cisneros of Chico, California and eight great-grand children.
