Donald R. Lee

On January 14, 2025, heaven welcomed an extraordinary Angel. Donald R Lee was born in Washington, DC and raised in Arlington, VA. He lived a selfless life devoted to his wife Deborah Ann for over 51 years.

Don, affectionately called Pop, was a supportive and loving father to Angela Lee Roberts (Perry) and Donald Christopher (Karla). He was a devoted Grandfather to Sunnie Lee Belcher (Jake) Donald Edward and Virginia Dionne. More recently, Don became a proud Great Grand Father to Julia Marie and Olivia Grace. Don was the younger brother of Roy E and an uncle to several nieces and nephews.

In 2021, Don retired from the Architect of the Capitol after 38 years of faithful service as a talented Electrician. Shortly after retirement, Don and Debbie relocated to Jacksonville, Florida.

After a stoic battle with cancer, the Lord called Don home to join his parents (Roy & Dorthy) and his brother (Sidney) and sister (Patricia) among other loved ones.

Don lived a life of integrity, selflessness and compassion. Those who knew him loved him for his kind and tender heart.

Don’s family extends their heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and prayers received by so many.

A Celebration of Life for Don will be held in Virginia in the near future.
