Donavan James Guhl

Donavan James Guhl, 47 years old, passed away in Green Cove Springs, Florida on April 3rd, 2025. Born to Randall and Katherine Guhl on April 1st, 1978, at Hahn AirForce Base, Germany. Donavan graduated from Agape Christian Home School in May 1996. He worked for the Jacksonville Jaguars when they first became franchises in Jacksonville. He also worked at Bank of America, Citi Banks and Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Jacksonville. He owned and ran a store, Donavan’s Deals on Walnut Street in Green Cove Springs. Donavan married Misty Lowery on September 7th, 2001. To that Marriage was born two sons, Timothy James was born on July 14th, 2005, and Travis Allen was born on January 20th, 2008. They were divorced in December 2014. Donavan attended Computer College for 3 years in Jacksonville and became deeply knowledgeable with electronics. He enjoyed helping people with their electronics. He was very much a Seminoles fan. He enjoyed playing pool and was exceptionally good at it. He also attended Evangel Temple Assembly of God, River City Christian Church, and some other churches in his lifetime. Donavan will be remembered as someone who was always willing to help anyone with anything they needed. People of all ages well liked him. Donavan was proceeded in death by his Grandparents Albert and Dorothy Guhl, and Williams and Bernice McCollough, all from Iowa, his brother Daniel J Guhl, March of 2021 from Green Cove Springs and many Aunts and Uncles. He survives by his parents Randall and Katherine Guhl from Green Cove Springs and his sons Timothy and Travis Guhl of Orange Park, Florida.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 11th at 11:00 AM at the Green Cove Springs, Senior Center, 604 Walnut Street, Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043. The Associate Pastor of Agape Christian Church, Reverend Melanie Powers will be officiating.

Also, a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 12th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Baptist Church (Agape Christian Church) 4325 Highway 17, Fleming Island, Florida, Associate Pastor Melanie Powers of Agape Christian Church will be officiating.

In lieu of Flowers, monetary gifts can be given in Donavan’s name to “The Chosen” Movie Production Team.
