Doris M. Barry

 Doris Mae Barry, 94, went home to be with the Lord November 23, 2018 at her home in Penney Farms Retirement Community, after a short illness. 

Doris was born March 4, 1924 in Bagdad, Florida. She retired from the Duval County School board and shortly after moved to Penney Farms Retirement Community. 

Family and friends remember her as faithful Christian woman, and left a legacy to honor her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

She is survived by her sons, Richard Fountain, Newman Gentry, Leo Diaz and Ramon Diaz; daughter, Beth Hilbert; grandchildren, Debbie Gayton and Kala Miller; great-granddaughter, Ariel Gayton and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

At her request in lieu of flowers please send donations to PRC Residents Aid Fund.

The family will receive friends at 10:00am on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will start at 11:00am with Chaplain Richard Wester officiating and burial will follow at Penney Farms Retirement Cemetery.
