Dorothy passed away December 1, 2019 in the Moosehaven Health Care Center at the age of 67.

She was born to Franklin and Evelyn Thomas on July 21, 1952 in Kershaw, South Carolina.

Dorothy married Thomas Allen on September 22, 1973. They were married for 46 years.

She worked as a Dopher for Carolina Eastman Nylon Factory for 10 years before retiring.

Dorothy became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on February 4, 1975 when she joined Cayce, South Carolina Chapter #1528. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on May 7, 1978.

She came to Moosehaven with her husband Thomas on November 16, 2015 where she resided for 4 years. A private family service will be held in the Moosehaven Chapel at a later date.

She is survived by husband, Thomas Allen a Moosehaven resident, Orange Park, FL; step mother, Esther Thomas of Lexington, SC, three sisters, Libby Watson of Lexington, SC, Helen Ellis of Florence, SC and Mary Kay Miller of Westminster, MD., 1 brother, Ray Thomas of Westminster, MD. Also 3 sister in laws, Vaughn Packer of Lexington, SC, Gayle Lord of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Lynn Blimco of Canton, OH and 1 brother in law, Bill H. Allen of Carefree, AZ.
