Dorothy (Dotty) J. Cloud

Dorothy (Dotty) J. Cloud, 85, of Middleburg, FL passed away suddenly on May 23, 2021. She was born in Bronx, New York City, New York, October 16, 1935 to the late David B. and Bessie L. Coleman. She spent most of her childhood in Florida and met her husband, Jack E. Cloud, in Jacksonville, where they were married on July 4, 1952. She delved into many activities during her life: being a navy wife, beautician, professional seamstress and business owner. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years at Hickory Grove Baptist Church and then became a faithful member of Lake Asbury Baptist Church, singing in the choirs of both churches. She was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her sons, CDR Jack E. Cloud, Jr., USN Ret., and Bruce A. Cloud (Loretta); her grandchildren, MAJ Raymond E. Cloud, Army Ret.(Valerie), Daniel Cloud, Rebecka Cloud and James Cloud: great grandchildren Dillon Cloud, Morgan Cloud, and DC2 Dillian LeCounte, USN.

She will be laid to rest at 1:30 pm on June 3, 2021 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with her husband. A memorial service for both Jack and Dotty will be held Sunday, July 4^th, 2021 at Lake Asbury Baptist Church in the early evening.
