Dorothy Wilson

September 27, 1932 — September 28, 2023

Dorothy “Dot” Eileen Wilson, 91, of Fleming Island, Florida, graduated into heaven on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Born in Fresno, California on September 27, 1932 to Cecil F. Beaman and Dolly Reed Beaman.

After her mother died when she was seven years old, Dorothy went to live with her dear aunt, Annis Reed Kamp (Carl). She graduated from San Mateo High School, San Mateo, California in 1950. Later that year she married Jerrold Bradley Wilson on October 14, 1950. His military career took them to various places including California, Florida, Tennessee, Guam and her favorite Hawaii. Always supportive of her children in school classes, PTA’s and Scouting, she also had several jobs, businesses, and volunteer work through the years. She loved meeting people and made friends easily. She could light up a room with her bright and beautiful smile. Family and friends were what she treasured most of all and she is greatly missed by many!

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (2013), brothers Dallas Beaman and Richard Beaman, and sons Clifford Douglas (2007) and John Bradley (1971).

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl “Sherry” Brundage, Fleming Island, and grandchildren John Brundage, Austin, TX, and Rachel Brundage, Fleming Island. Son, Duane Wilson and daughter-in-law Stephanie Wilson, Lake Asbury and grandchildren Desiree Emme and Megan Emme, Middleburg, Nicholas Wilson, Georgia and Lauren Wilson Churchey, Ohio. Loving and devoted daughter-in-law Kathryn Harris Wilson, Green Cove Springs and grandson John (Jennifer) Wilson, Fleming Island, and great grandson Trey, grandson Matthew (Kristen) Wilson, Orange Park, and great grands Jared Wilson and Haley Wilson. Other nieces and a nephew, including Nancy Beaman Bronzi, Ormond-by-the Sea, and Denise Beaman Del Visco, Ocala, and cousins, including Rita Reed Price, Clovis, CA.
