Douglas Edward Frey, 36, born 11/19/1984, passed 9/22/2021. Born to loving mother Theresa in Dallas, Tx., moved to St. Augustine, FL in 1986 and graduated from Clay High School in Green Cove Springs in 2003. Doug went on to enjoy a career in the tugboat industry for companies Smith Maritime of Green Cove Springs and Wittich Bros of Manasquan, NJ to name a couple. This love for the sea brought him all over the world on many adventures including towing a barge for a Space-X rocket and landing many large fish like mahi mahi and marlin on these boats. He enjoyed recreational boating and fishing as well as surfing, swimming, or just lounging at the beach. He also enjoyed his cars and trucks, having owned 20 or so...everything from huge mud trucks to smaller and faster Hondas. Doug loved giving gifts to his friends children and Toys for Tots every year at Christmas. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family would like donations to be made to this or a similar organization. Doug is survived by his mother and her husband; Theresa and Dennis Boyd of Inwood WV, Uncle Gregory Zadai and his wife Tammy of St. Augustine, as well as 2 recently discovered half siblings, brother Tyler Frey and sister Megan Marshall of Morganton, WV and girlfriend Patricia Formica and her daughter Keira of Manahawkin NJ, and a whole world of friends both close and far who will never stop missing him. Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 24th, 2021 at the Matanzas Inlet East in St. Augustine, Fl. https://maps.app.goo.gl/qP1qvqZ7eXq6U7W76
