William Edward "Eddie" Abbott, a remarkable soul who touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on April 20, 1954, to Dorothy and William Harry Abbott, Eddie was a beloved brother to Honey Gene Miller. He was a devoted husband to the late Teresa Abbott and a cherished father to his daughter, Katie Abbott of Green Cove Springs, FL, and his son, Jonathon Abbott of Fleming Island, FL.

 Eddie's career was defined by his exceptional skill in drafting designs using AutoCAD, a talent that brought him immense joy and satisfaction. His colleagues and clients admired his precision and creativity, and he took great pride in his work, always striving for excellence.

 Beyond his professional achievements, Eddie's heart was truly at home with his family. He was a pillar of strength and support, always prioritizing the happiness and well-being of those he loved. His warm spirit and unwavering dedication were the cornerstones of his relationships, and his family was the center of his universe. Eddie's legacy of love and kindness lives on through his children, Katie and Jonathon, who carry forward his values and affection.

 Eddie's enthusiasm for life extended to his hobbies, where he found joy and camaraderie. His love for motorcycles and cars was well-known among friends and family, and he spent countless hours tinkering and perfecting his beloved machines. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and contentment by the water's edge. NASCAR races and Florida Gators games were events he eagerly anticipated, sharing the excitement with those around him.

 Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and William, his sister, Honey Gene Miller, and his beloved wife, Teresa. A memorial service to honor Eddie's extraordinary life will be held on December 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Broadus Raines Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Eddie's memory.
