Eddie A. Peeples

Eddie A. Peeples, 78, of Green Cove Springs, Florida passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 29, 2025 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Eddie was born in Charleston, SC but grew up in Green Cove Springs where he graduated from Clay High School in 1965 and went on to complete his education at Massey Technical School becoming an electrician. He served for 6 years in the Army National Guard. He loved working at Georgia Pacific and retired at the age of 71 where he made lifelong friends. He married Elizabeth Daniels Peeples in 1970.

His passions included his love for his family, Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Clay High sports, hunting, coaching, and teaching Sunday school. He was respected for his servanthood and the generosity of his time and handyman talents. Many young people throughout the years benefited from his mentorship. His impact will continue to make a difference through the people he loved.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Clarence Ray Peeples, Sr and Mell Peeples. He is survived by his Wife, Elizabeth Daniels Peeples; Sister Ann Beale (Richard); Brother Clarence Ray Peeples, Jr (Tracy); Daughter Karen Wilkins (Wayne); Son Michael Peeples (Dinora); Grandchildren: Mikela Peeples, Hunter Wilkins (Mary), Colden Peeples, Mikiah Peeples, Kalee Wilkins, Edie Wilkins, Ellie Wilkins, Tripp Wilkins; Great Granddaughter Laine Wilkins; Sister in Laws: Deborah Miller (Clint), Sherry Daniels; Nieces: Amanda Bloodworth, Shellie Taylor; Nephews: Justin Peeples, Brandon Peeples, Jay Daniels, Scott Daniels.

The family will welcome friends to celebrate his reunion with Jesus from 6:00 to 8:00 pm On Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11 am at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Art Gipson officiating, and burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Eddie would prefer donations to Hickory Grove Baptist Church in his honor.
