Edward Lee Shields

Edward Lee Shields, 92, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away July 28, 2021. He was born September 11, 1928 in Union Port, OH to the late Mary and Walter Shields.

Edward graduated from Union Port Ohio Highschool and attended St. Louis University. He served in the US Navy.

Edward retired from Pan American airlines after 35 years. He was a member of the 1^st United Methodist Church of Green Cove Springs, actively involved in the Lions Club, Green Cove Springs Historical society and museum.

His hobbies included flying, boating, woodworking, his family and the community.
Edward will be remembered as a devoted father and husband.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice Lucille, and his son, Thomas Allen Shields.

He is survived by children, Jonell Stanford of Green Cove Springs, FL, Della Mae Jones of Bangor, PA, Douglas Shields of St. Augustine, FL, Mark L. Shields of Bangor, PA and Janice Gibson of Earleton, FL; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services to be determined at a later date.
