Edward "Ed" Stickles

Ed passed away January 13, 2020 at 6:28 AM in the Moosehaven Health Care Center at the age of 90.

He was born to Edward and Ada Stickles on July 28, 1929 in Clyde, New York.

Ed married Phyllis Ann Haas on August 27, 1949 in Clyde, New York. They had two daughters Cindy and Melody, three sons John, Donald and Douglas. Phyllis preceded him death on June 18, 2011.

He worked at Acosta Morris Alper Inc. as a sales representative retiring in 2001.

Ed became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in March 21, 1971 when he joined Newport News, Virginia Lodge #1119. He was a Past Governor on 5/1/1976 and received his Fellowship degree on 8/31/1980. Ed became a member of the 25 Club on 11/4/1981 and sponsored 65 members in his life time.

Ed and his wife Phyllis came to Moosehaven on May 7, 2003. Ed has resided at Moosehaven for 16 years.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date followed by burial in Newport News, Virginia. Services conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Chapter.

He is survived by his daughters Cindy Overman of Newport News, Virginia and Melody Floyd and sons John Stickles of Smithfield, Virginia, Donald Stickles of Hampton, Virginia and Douglas Stickles of Newport News, Virginia. Eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
