Ed David,74, of Fleming Island, FL Went to join Jesus in Heaven on June 19, 2024. He was born on October 13, 1949, in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico to his parents, Miguel David and Esther Guzman. He served in the Army National Guard for over 10 years.

Ed had a six-piece band called “Holiday” for many years playing at clubs, restaurants, weddings and community events in New Jersey. Over the last several years Ed was part of a duo called “Tier 2” with Bill Cook playing similar venues in Florida. He loved what he did and did what he loved.

Ed was a manager of credit and collections at several corporations both in New Jersey and in Florida. He was a member of Christ Church in Fleming Island, where he also played guitar for many years with the Worship Team for Christ Church Services.

Ed started playing guitar as a young boy and taught both of his sons to play, music was always his greatest enjoyment. Ed and Eileen loved to travel, enjoying cruises, mountain cabins and Disney, which was their favorite. 

Ed will always be remembered for his bright smile, kindness, integrity and tremendous love for his family. Ed had a heart of gold. He would always reach out to anyone in need and especially enjoyed community outreach to “Make a Difference in the Lives he Touched.” His love of animals was such a strong part of who he was. He was blessed with so many wonderful friends.

Heaven has gained an angel and one day we will all be reunited with our Father. 

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Eileen David and precious son, Brandon David; father, Miguel David; brothers, Wilson David and Robert David. Ed had many wonderful nieces and nephews that he enjoyed spending time with.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther; son, Paul David; brothers, Melvin and Michael.

A celebration of his life will be held at Christ Church located at 1859 Town Hall Circle (Village Square) on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 12 Noon. A luncheon will follow, and all are welcome.
