Elsie Irene Frisk

Elsie passed away February 22, 2019 in the Orange Park Medical Center at the age of 91.

She was born to Herbert and Ethel Clayton on August 15, 1927 in Sullivan, Illinois.

Elsie married Raymond LeKander Jr. on July 1, 1945.  He preceded her in death on January 20, 1953.  They had five children; Randy, Jan, Sheila, Donna and Sharon.  Sharon preceded her in death on March 15, 2017.

She married Doug Frisk on November 27, 1953 in Dekalb, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on February 16, 2015. 

Elsie and Doug were owners of Leach Lake Lodge and Fishing Resort in MN for about 18 years before retiring in 1989.

Elsie became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose when her husband, Doug joined Batavia, Illinois Lodge #682 on October 18, 1981.  After they moved to Moosehaven, Elsie joined Opportunity Chapter 3002 where she became active and served a term as Senior Regent.  She was also a member of Lakeshore, FL Chapter 1495 where she received her Academy of Friendship on April 9, 2017.

Doug and Elsie came to Moosehaven on May 22, 2002 where she has resided for over 16 years. 

Funeral Services held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 1:30pm in the Moosehaven Chapel and will be conducted by Reverend Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Chapter. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Doug, in the Moosehaven Mausoleum.

Elsie is survived by four children; Randy, Jan, Sheila, and Donna; two sisters; Geneva and Ruth, also many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends.
