Eugene "Rick" Paul Richter, Jr.

Eugene "Rick" Paul Richter, Jr., age 72, of Clay County, FL. passed away in his home in Fleming Island on July 17, 2018. "Rick" was born in California on August 6, 1947. He was a retired First Sergeant of the United States Army, where he served his Country for twenty four years. Rick was extremely proud of his Military career. After retiring from the Army, he went into sales. Rick was great with people and loved meeting new people and making new friends. He also loved gardening. He loved working in his yard, which he made into a beautiful "Secret Garden." 
Rick is survived by his wife, Tammie; his two step-daughters, April Crawford, of Orange Park FL. and Kristina Hawkins, of Chattanooga, TN; and six grandchildren.
Rick will be laid to rest with a final salute at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday July 25, 2018.
