Evelyn Lamson Kirkland

Evelyn Lamson Kirkland, 59, of Keystone Heights, FL, passed away February 22, 2018.  She was born on December 11, 1958 in Jacksonville, FL to parents Cliff and Helen (Bland) Lamson.  

Evelyn was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  She loved her grandchildren, traveling to the mountains and going on cruises.  Evelyn also enjoyed shopping, rose gardening, bird watching and being in nature.  She was funny and always smiling even in the tough times.  Evelyn loved time with family and friends and will be missed dearly.  She is preceded in death by her grandson, Cid Kirkland.

Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Lem Kirkland; parents, Cliff and Helen Lamson; son, Sean Kirkland;  sisters, Pam Newsome (Paul) and Kimm Farwell (Sean); grandchildren, Chase, Casey, Savannah and Lemmy Kirkland; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Russell Franklin officiating.  Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
