Florence Ann Jammes, Maxville, FL, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024. She was born September 17, 1944, to Douglas and Freida Roberts in Jacksonville, FL. She was the second daughter of 10 girls and had one younger brother. She attended Forest High School in Jacksonville. The things that brought her the most joy and happiness was her family. She worked for many years at her church nursery. She always referred to the babies as "my babies." She worked there long enough to watch some of her babies graduate high school and then marry. She will be remembered for her loving nature especially where children were concerned. All she needed to hear was there was a child in need whether it be new shoes for school or even a child who just needed someone to listen, she would always be there. She was a very patriotic lady and she loved silly jokes, she always said she could remember the silly ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Freida Roberts; and 3 of sisters Dorothy Trott, Kitty Corbett, and Elizabeth Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Jammes; daughters, Jean Ann Bryan (Robert) Stormy Buchan (Jeff) Windy Benner (Mark); sons, Chuck Jammes and Dwayne Jammes; 12 grandchildren, Wayne Bryan, Jason Bryan (Melissa), Jamie Ann Bryan, Linsay Jammes, David Benner, Kaylee Benner, Logan Buchan, Declan Buchan, Clayton Inscoe, Annie Jammes, DJ Jammes, and Jacob Jammes; 4 great-grandchildren, Jayden Bryan, Alex Bryan, Ethan, Bryan, and Hannah Bryan.
