Francis Theodore Czelusniak, 91, of Fleming Island, FL passed away on December 25, 2021. He was born on September 29, 1930 in Luzerne County, PA to the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Pavlick) Czelusniak. Francis moved to Fleming Island in 2011, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He served in the United States Navy and worked for General Electric. “Before moving to Fleming Island, Frank and his wife lived in Charlotte, NC for 28 years where they were an integral part of St. Matthews Catholic Church as President of the church’s Senior Group, The Owls. Frank enjoyed being with others most of all and always wanted to be sure others enjoyed his company too. He always had a joke or a funny story for you! He could find humor in some of the most mundane circumstances. His jokes may have been duplicated several times, but he delivered them with the vim and vigor as if it was the first time he shared it with you!” He enjoyed bowling, golf, crafts and bingo. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Lucente in 2011; granddaughter, Ashley Dowser in 2012 and grandson, Christopher Dowser in 2014.
Francis is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Huxley (Mike) and Amanda Vandenabeele (Robert); grandchildren, Michael Vandenabeele (Leslie), Nicole Wright (Harrison), Jacob Huxley (Nastia) and great-grandchildren, Jackson Vandenabeele and Ethan Vandenabeele.
