Frank M. Doolittle, 91, of Middleburg, FL passed away on Father’s Day, June 18, 2017. He was born on May 6, 1926 in Maybrook, New York to the late Franklin D. and Marion Doolittle. Mr. Doolittle moved to the area several years ago from Tennessee and was of the Christian faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and was a retired home builder. He could build any craft that someone would want and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Doolittle was an avid history buff who loved time with his children and grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Doolittle is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Irene Doolittle; sons, Mark Doolittle (Julie) and Glenn Doolittle (Kay); daughters, Karen Hatcher-Sibole (Russ) and Denise Mims (Ed); 10 grandchildren, Brianna, Dakota, Gordon, Gabriel, Stephanie (Jeremy), Ashley (Bud), Carley (Mike), Jennifer (Bret), Megan and Mallory; and 10 great-grandchildren, Lainey, Braylin, Bella, Landon, Kayden, Zane, Zoey, Zaiden, Benjamin and Alexandra. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Delton Kilpatrick officiating. Inurnment, with military honors, will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:00pm.
