Frank Latorre was born June 28, 1958 to Santino Latorre and Teresa Lamana in Polignano a Mare Italy. The family immigrated to Queens New York in 1966 where they lived for the next thirty years. Frank quickly found a second family in his beloved and long-time friends, who he remained friends with until his death. In 1980 he met the love of his life, a girl from the island, Jo Ann Sweezy. They were married in 1982 and moved to Long Island, New York. They had two children, a daughter and a son, who were Frank’s pride and joy.
Throughout his life Frank Latorre held a myriad of jobs and collected innumerable friends. He was truly the model for living life to the fullest. Every person he met he left a lasting impression on, and to borrow a quote from a friend, “Every room he entered a memory was made.”
After thirty-seven years of marriage, he is survived by his wife Jo Ann and his now four children; Jessica, Frank Joseph, his son in law Kevin, and his daughter in law Gabrielle. He leaves behind a family that spans the continents. Not only his brother Vito Antonello and his many cousins in Italy, but a network of friends and loved ones that crossed the globe.
His loss reverberates throughout the community, and the outpouring and love and support that the family as received has truly been a testament to his life.
