Franklin L. Reno

February 5, 1952 — March 23, 2020

Franklin L. Reno of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 after a brief battle with small cell cancer. Frank was born to Lewis and Gladys Reno on February 5, 1952 in Chattanooga, TN. Frank was compassionate about serving his country, so he enlisted in the US Navy in 1970 and served for 23 years. He retired as a Navy Chief. After retiring, Frank enjoyed working as an account executive for a staffing agency. He enjoyed the work so much that he formed his own staffing company, Signature Staffing. He loved helping people find jobs and prided himself on building strong long-lasting relationships with his clients. Frank enjoyed a true retirement over the last several years where he fine-tuned his gardening skills, rooted for his favorite college football team the Tennessee Volunteers and was a loyal Jaguar fan.

Frank is preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his wife, Dianna Patterson-Reno; daughters, Kimberly Reno Baker (Richard) and Kellie Nix (Gary); grandsons, Brennan Lyons and Devin Nix; brother, Bill Reno (Mary Beth); sister, Theresa Reno; stepsons, David, Jonathan and Gus Patterson; his childhood friend/cousin, Calvin Scott along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Frank’s final resting place will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
