Philippians 4:3-7
George was born to parents Ann "Pansy" Hazzard Johnson McMillan and George Thum Gretton, JR. on January 21, 1953 in Trenton, New Jersey. He passed away in his home on October 28, 2019 in Middleburg, Florida. George graduated from high school in 1971 from Episcopal High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He worked for 35 years as an Account Delivery Manager with Perspecta, Inc. He was a member of Grace Anglican Church in Fleming Island, Florida. He loved to read, game on both his XBOX and PlayStation consoles, and all things Disney. George married Pamela (Jones) Gretton on March 20, 1999. George loved hauling his blended family around in his big green Chevy van on many adventures; to the beach, to play laser tag, to the movies, to the mall, to the mountains, or just out to dinner. George will be remembered as Papa Grande to his many grandchildren, his love for God, for his love for food, his great life advice, as a gracious giver, and the best person at delivering dad jokes. George was preceded in death by his mother Ann "Pansy" Hazzard Johnson McMillan and his father George Thum Gretton, Jr.
George is survived by his wife Pamela Ann (Jones) Gretton; his children - Amy Rebecca Gretton, Elizabeth Ann Gretton, Leann (Ruben) Gonzalez, Thomas (Kaela) Duval, and Kim (Christopher) Abner; his 12 grandchildren - Elsa Braswell, Savannah Braswell, Diego Gonzalez, Mateo Gonzalez, Josue Gonzalez, Lucas Gonzalez, Karissa Carrion, Kadince Carrion, Kyrsten Carrion, Logan Buck, Greyer Abner, and Morgan Abner; his sisters - Ann (Charles) Lynch and Elizabeth (Christopher) Huch; nieces and nephews - Charles Lynch, Sally (Matthew) Zabel, Christopher (Jessica) Huch, and Paul (Barbara) Huch; and many friends.
His celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11am at:

Presiding over the service will be The Very Rev. Mike McDonald and The Rev. Dan Wolf.
Wear your best Hawaiian shirt in honor of his memory. Interment will be held in the Memory Garden on property after the service with a reception lunch in the Fellowship Hall directly following.
