George F. Nowlan III

George F. Nowlan III, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on June 12, 2022 in Middleburg, FL.

George was born March 7, 1942 in Hamlet, NC to parents George F. Nowlan II and Eloise Whittington Nowlan. He graduated from UNC (Chapel Hill, NC) and enjoyed a 43-year career with Winn Dixie grocery company.

George is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Nowlan (Polk), his daughter Cathy Golisch, his son Chris Nowlan and wife Susan, his 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Joshua, Ashlyn, Ella, Luke and Liza and his 1 great granddaughter, Briley.

George and Nancy are members of First Presbyterian Church of Green Cove Springs. George loved golfing, fishing, attending gator football games and the motor raceway and anything involving his friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will also be forever remembered as being a great and loyal friend to many. 

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Green Cove Springs, FL on Saturday June 25, 2022 @ 11 am. The service will be officiated by Reverend Susan Takis. A reception will follow.
