George S. Wyman

George S. Wyman, 86, resident of Green Cove Springs, FL since 1952, passed into eternity Monday, 14 December after a brief illness. He was born 12 Dec.1934 in OIL CITY, PA. Son of Stewart H. (SH) and Verna E. Keys Wyman (both deceased). George grew up in KNOX, PA before the family moved to FLORIDA. Thanks to Miss Martha Rogers, he graduated from Clay High, class of 1952. He was married to the love of his life, Mella Jean (Spivey Heath ) for 48 years until her death in 2018. He is survived by one brother, Richard D. (Carol) Wyman, step-sons Ronnie Heath (Sue), Reggie Heath (Gail), and Randy, deceased (Tracey). Three grandsons; Ronnie Heath II, Ryan Heath , and Austin Heath plus two great grandchildren. George served two years active duty in the U.S Army before working in the banking industry at the Bank of Green Cove Springs, and Wachovia Bank until his retirement in the early 1990’s. He then ran the commodities program for the Clay County Council on Aging for the next 26 years. He will always be remembered as the unofficial historian for Clay County. He knew absolutely everyone and how the families meshed together. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Green Cove Springs. He was a Master Mason, Shriner, and P.D.D.G.M.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
